GAF B2B Meet to strengthen international market for Ayurvedic services

Thiruvananthapuram : Ayurveda B2B meet at Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF-2023) has set the stage to strengthen the international market of Ayurvedic products and services. About 100 sellers and 300 buyers from India and abroad participated in the meet, which provided a platform for active discussions and collaboration between Ayurvedic hospitals and tourism partners.
250 tour operators, more than 50 Ayurvedic manufacturers and more than 30 traders from different countries of the world participated in the B2B meet held at Kariyavattam Greenfield Stadium.
The head of complementary medicine in Nigeria, Dr. Martins Ochubiojo Emege Bitubi inaugurated the meet. To take advantage of the increasing global acceptance of the field of traditional medicine, Dr. Martins Ochubiojo Emag said. Many African countries are treasure troves of medicinal plants. Traditional healing systems also exist in these countries. But the challenge is to create global acceptance for this. Martins Ochubiojo added that global conferences like GAF can play a crucial role in this and India's role in creating global acceptance for Ayurveda is huge.
Goa Tourism Department Deputy Director Dheeraj R Wagle said that the Ayurveda B2B meet will pave the way for cooperation and exchange of services between the traditional medicine sector of different countries.
The Bitubi meet had two categories namely products and services. In the product category, major manufacturing companies of the country were introduced as sellers. Tour operators and travel agents participated in the meet as part of the service sector. Ayurvedic hospitals, resorts and clinics of Kerala and India participated as sellers, Ayurvedic tour-travel operators, doctors, consultants and buyers. It is expected that the meet will pave the way for the growth of wellness tourism in the country and increase the arrival of foreign tourists.
Somateeram Group Chairman and MD Baby Mathew presided over the meeting held as part of the meet. Ayush Advisor Dr. Raghu, Rasayana Ayurveda Center CTO and B2B Meet Chairman Dr. V. Madhavachandran, MSME Kerala Director Prakash, KTDA General Secretary Kotukal Krishnakumar, Citrine Hospitals Chairman Prasad Manjali, AHMA President Dr. Dr. Vijayan Nangeli, State Vice President of Ayurvedic Medical Association. Dr. Vishnu Namboothiri, Bitubi Meet Coordinator. Abhilash and GAF Bitubi Meet Convener CG Nair spoke.
North Goa District Hospital Physician Dr. Sameer Sadekar, Somateeram Ayurveda Group Corporate General Manager, Chitra, Dr. V. Sreekumar and KK Swamy made presentations on Ayurvedic services and products.
GAF is organized by various Ayurvedic organizations of Kerala under the joint auspices of the Center for Innovation in Science and Social Action, the Union Ministry of AYUSH and the Government of Kerala. The theme is 'Emerging Challenges in Healthcare and Ayurveda with New Energy'.
