Global Ayurveda Festival Lifestyle Diseases-Ayurvedic treatment is becoming popular

Thiruvananthapuram: The exhibition at the 5th Global Ayurveda Festival highlighted the importance of Ayurvedic treatment in combating lifestyle diseases. Medicines in pill form are preferred for diseases like heart disease, diabetes, thyroid and PCOD.
Medicines in tablet form for heart disease causes like hypertension and cholesterol are the major attraction at the Global Ayurveda Festival. From leading Ayurvedic clinics to small researchers in the field, medicines are being developed for effective treatment and prevention of these diseases.
Medicines in pill form are used to reduce high blood pressure by controlling hypertension and reduce the risk of heart attack by increasing blood flow by controlling fat in blood vessels. Vice President of Medicinal Research Department of Coimbatore Aryavaidya Pharmacy Dr. Sindhu A said. She said many years of research are needed to make traditional medicinals into pill form. Sreejith Unni, Senior Marketing Manager of Vaidya Ratnam Group pointed out that medicines for many diseases have expired after being made into pills.
Ayurvedic pills can be taken along with the other pills currently being taken, said Dr. Kottaikal Ayurveda Hospital. Anoop Rajan said. He said that this is a great convenience in the changed lifestyle.
Medicines in the form of pills are widely used for diseases like thyroid because it is a form of treatment without side effects. More than 10 international research papers have highlighted the importance of medicinal compounds in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The five-day long Global Ayurveda Festival was inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar on Friday. The festival will conclude on Tuesday.
