The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala, is holding a one-day Conclave on Geographical Indication (GI) on January 11, 2023 (Wednesday) at Hotel Taj, Vivanta, Thiruvananthapuram as part of the initiatives to encourage products having GI Tags in the State and to enhance their brand-value, business and marketing techniques.

The Hon’ble Minister for Law, Industries & Coir Shri P. Rajeeve will inaugurate the GI Conclave at Hotel Vivanta, Thiruvananthapuram at 2.30 PM. The Hon’ble Minister will also launch the website developed by the Department of Industries & Commerce to give access to all GI products of Kerala in a common place. Shri Suman Billa, IAS, Principal Secretary (Industries & Norka) will deliver the keynote address at the function. 

An Expo of GI Products of Kerala and a Technical Session will also be held as part of the event from 10.30 AM onwards.
