Death of Dr. Vandana Das; KIMSHEALTH organises condolence meeting

Thiruvananthapuram, May 10, 2023: KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Vandana Das, who was tragically stabbed to death at Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the health sector, and KIMSHEALTH extends its deepest sympathies to Vandana’s family and friends during this difficult time, said Dr. M.I Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMSHEALTH.
He also added that health workers cannot approach patients with suspicion, as such incidents call into question the very safety of society. It is essential that the government takes steps to properly implement the Hospital Act to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and to ensure the safety of healthcare workers.
Senior consultants from the Neurology department, Dr. Suresh Chandran C.J and Dr. Syamlal S also spoke at the condolence meeting held at KIMSHEALTH. Doctors, nurses and other staff members of KIMSHEALTH attended the meeting.
